Watch Over You - Alter Bridge

Posted by Nigel J. W. Ong

Leaves are on the ground
Fall has come
Blue skies turning grey
Like my love
I try to carry you
And make you whole
But it was never enough
I must go

And who is gonna save you when I’m gone
And who’ll watch over you
When I’m gone?

You say you care for me
But hide it well
How can you love someone not yourself?

And who is gonna save you when I’m gone?
And who’ll watch over you when I’m gone?

And when I’m gone who will break your fall
And Fan your flame
I can’t go on let you loose it all Its more then I can take
Who’ll ease your pain
Ease your pain?

And who is gonna save you when I’m gone
And who’ll watch over you?
And I will give you strength when you’re not strong
Who’ll watch over you when I’m gone away

Snow is on the ground
Winter’s come
You long to hear my voice
But I’m long gone

the war between 'blue' and 'green' is back.

it seems that the election heat is around the corner. i seem to be very excited over it, maybe due to the fact that this is the first election that i will follow through with political awareness. too bad ill be in NZ when its the polling day..

at my place, kuala terengganu parliament, it is always a straight fight. PAS and BN. even before the polling day is announced, flags and poster war had started (pictures suggests so). these pictures are taken during my drive to Manir to meet my relatives during the Chinese new year.

What kind of car am i?

Posted by Nigel J. W. Ong

What Car Would You Be?

You would be part Ferrari Enzo. You are quick, slick and ever-so-cool. Your ostentatious showiness may put some people off, but your friends know you're the real deal.
You would be part Stretch Hummer. You are as big and bold as they come. You get what you want, when you want, and you can run over old ladies without even knowing it.

What kind of music best suits me?

Posted by Nigel J. W. Ong

Which Type of Music Should You Listen To?

You should listen to Classical Music. You are sophisticated, intellectual, and complex--not to mention a bit snobby sometimes. Not everyone understands you, but hey, you know you're better than them.

hmm...will go and start looking for Chopin, and Bach.

What i should actually major in?

Which College Major Should You Be?

Your major should be Business. You believe confidence is everything, and nothing's more important than a first impression. Success is measured in dollars and your attitude's going to make you very successful. All that's left is to choose which I-Bank to work for after you graduate.

Superbowl XLII – New England Patriots vs New York Giants

Posted by Nigel J. W. Ong

The hype is around the corner. The anticipated game will be played in less than 3 days time. Im fired up to watch the game, and I have decided to provide my analysis into the game, to share what I think about the game. To those who do not know or knows little about American football, I suggest u read articles on football positions in Wikipedia before u read ahead. (lots of jargons and shortforms)

New England Patriots

The offensive line got their injured RT Nick Kaczur and RG Stephen Neal back. So, im expecting a better pass protection for QB Tom Brady, and opening up of running lanes for RB Laurence Maroney. Giants will run quite a lot of blitzes, as they try to pressure and disrupt Brady’s passes. Im expecting Giants to double team WR Randy Moss, just as the other teams did in the playoffs when they play Patriots. The strategy worked will the these teams, with Moss only managed 2 receptions for 32 yards in 2 playoff games. With Moss overplayed, the rest of the offense will shine. I expect Brady to throw more to WR Wes Welker and Donte Stallworth, with backup RB Kevin Faulk as the primary pass option in 3rd and short situation. The TE’s will have their hands full handling Umenyiora and Tuck’s pass rush. I don’t expect them to run routes or catching passes. Patriots will pass more early in the game, and rely on ground attack in second half.

New York Giants

Much will rely on RB Brandon Jacobs. His size (6 foot 4) is very big for a RB yet he is explosive. He will be a challenge for the Patriots’ defense. I expect Giants to run him on east-west route to create size mismatches with the CB’s. Patriots CB Samuel and Hobbs will have a tough time tackling him. QB Eli Manning will be taking snaps, but he will not play much except in the red zone. In the previous game between both sides in the regular season week 17, Manning threw 4 touchdown passes in the red zone. Giants will have to play harder, moving the chain slowly with running plays and try to make sure every drive produces points, as Patriots are very efficient when it comes to points per drive. Receiver Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer will be a challenge to the Patriots CB’s, especially in the red zone, where size matters most.

New England Patriots

The flexibility of Patriots’ 3-4 defense will somehow help them to handle Giants running plays. Outside linebackers Mike Vrabel and Adalius Thomas will run a lot of contain routes, forcing RB Brandon Jacobs to run north-south instead of east –west. If Jacobs do run that route, he will have inside linebacker Tedy Bruschi and Seau waiting for him. SS Rodney Harrison will have a great time handling rookie Giants TE Kevin Boss. Boss only started for the Giants since the injury or Jeremy Shockey. Harrison will have to brake and blow up passes before it reaches Boss’s hands. If not, He will have to tough time handling the TE, due to size mismatches. I expect Seau to drop back into coverages often to help Hobbs handle Giants WR Amani Toomer. Vrabel and Thomas will get some sacks or distrupt passes so much that it results in interceptions.

New York Giants

They need to control Patriots pass offense, either by pressuring up front, drop more players back for tight coverages or both. Patriots are a really strong team when it comes into pass ratings – their regular season records proves so, their success in doing so will influence the game. Lots of blitzes will be seen from DE Usi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck, or they will push in through their DT’s, forcing QB Brady to step out from the pocket, and let the DE’s apply the final touch – a clean sack. Watch how the team will handle Patriots WR Randy Moss, CB Dockery will be helped by a linebacker to double team Moss.

I expect a close game, with Patriots to walk out the winners. The game will be exciting, with the decider in the third quarter. The weather is good for aerial game, so I expect Patriots to try long passes to outrun the Giants CB’s.
